What the zone allows
- Homes allowed
- Multi-unit buildings and duplexes, up to 60 homes per hectare of usable site area, on community water and sewer; a dwelling accessory to a permitted use

- Ski lodge, hotel, motel, golf clubhouse, ski lift, central check-in, multi-unit housing, duplex; restaurants, bars and pubs, pro, ski, sporting goods, bicycle and gift shops, recreation
- Smallest lot for a subdivision
- 0.5 ha
- Height limit
- 16 m or four storeys, whichever is less
- Setbacks
- 7.5 m from every lot line
Multi-unit buildings and duplexes need both community water and community sewer, and a duplex only goes on a lot that also has one or more multi-unit buildings.
Densities count only usable site area: one piece of land with an average slope of 15% or less and no part subject to land slip, avalanche, rock fall, flooding or a high water table (s. 3.3).
Outdoor storage is screened by a solid board fence or evergreen hedge at least 2 m tall on every side not facing a building on the lot (s. 1.14(4)).
Site-specific exceptions listed in the bylaw by legal description can add or change uses for one property, and development permit areas, the ALR and building rules apply on top. Confirm with the RDEK's planning department before you buy or build.
