Inside the ALR, a golf course needs the Agricultural Land Commission's approval (s. 2.2.5.2).
A screen is needed along lot lines shared with the RR, RS, RHD or RM zones (s. 2.18.3).
Land in the floodplain set by the Salmon Valley Floodplain Management Bylaw No. 2600 must also meet that bylaw (s. 2.3).
Every zone also allows daycare, horticulture and silviculture, public utilities and parks (s. 2.2.2).
Site-specific exceptions listed in the bylaw by legal description can add or change uses for one property, and development permit areas, the ALR and building rules apply on top. Confirm with the CSRD's planning department before you buy or build.
