Most P-2 land holds parks, recreation centres, cemeteries and other public places, so a lot here is rarely sold as a home lot (our reading); ask the City what a lot here may be used for before you buy.
The zone sets few rules of its own; Parts 4 (general regulations), 5 (parcel areas) and 6 (parking) of the bylaw also apply.
Short-term rental of a home isn't a use the zone lists, so ask the City before renting one by the night.
Site-specific exceptions listed in the bylaw by legal description can add or change uses for one property, and development permit areas, the ALR and building rules apply on top. Confirm with the City of Cranbrook's planning department before you buy or build.
