Where the bylaw is unclear

Points we couldn't settle from the bylaw's text. Ask before you rely on them.

  • RS9: Despite its name, the zone lists semi-detached homes only as small-scale multi-unit housing; s. 8.13.7 still sets rules for a semi-detached use (two accessory buildings allowed). Whether an existing duplex counts as small-scale housing here is unclear: ask the City.

Site-specific exceptions listed in the bylaw by legal description can add or change uses for one property, and development permit areas, the ALR and building rules apply on top. Confirm with the City of Port Moody's planning department before you buy or build.
