One Ace Mountain wildfire, 2022
The One Ace Mountain wildfire started on June 30, 2022, caused by lightning. It was declared out on October 27, 2022. Its mapped perimeter covers 12,330 ha (123 km²): the 3rd-largest of 2022's 22 large fires, and the 152nd-largest in BC since 1990. All of it was in Stikine Region. The nearest municipality, Northern Rockies, is roughly 359 km away; the fire covered a small fraction of the land area of it.
