Little Blue River wildfire, 2023

The Little Blue River wildfire started on July 6, 2023, caused by lightning. It was declared out on December 18, 2023. Its mapped perimeter covers 60,064 ha (601 km²): the 9th-largest of 2023's 119 large fires, and the 36th-largest in BC since 1990. All of it was in Stikine Region. The nearest municipality, Northern Rockies, is roughly 350 km away; the fire covered a small fraction of the land area of it.
