"Not set" means the zone itself sets no figure; general rules elsewhere in the bylaw may still apply. Each zone's page has its uses, setbacks and the general rules that apply to it.
Where the bylaw is unclear
Points we couldn't settle from the bylaw's text. Ask before you rely on them.
- RM4: How far those two site-specific clauses reach: s. 10.6.5 says they apply instead of the zone's uses and regulations but lists only height, setbacks and parking, so whether the zone's uses and other rules still apply there is unclear; ask the City of Penticton.
- RSM: The interior side setback is printed as "1.5 m and 3.0 m" without saying which figure applies where, so how close a building may come to each side line is unclear; ask the City of Penticton.
- C4: The interior side setback is printed as "0 m and 4.5 m" without saying which figure applies where, so how close a building may come to each side line is unclear; ask the City of Penticton.
- C5: Whether a bed and breakfast can operate here: the zone lists it, but s. 7.2.1 allows one only in a single detached house, which the zone doesn't list, so this is unclear; ask the City of Penticton.
- C7: The interior side setback is printed as "0 m and 4.5 m" without saying which figure applies where, so how close a building may come to each side line is unclear; ask the City of Penticton.
- CT1: The interior side setback is printed as "0 m and 4.5 m" without saying which figure applies where, so how close a building may come to each side line is unclear; ask the City of Penticton.
- M1: The interior side setback is printed as "0 m and 3.5 m" without saying which figure applies where, so how close a building may come to each side line is unclear; ask the City of Penticton.
- P2: Whether a security or operator home is allowed: s. 13.2.3 limits one to 100 m², but the zone doesn't list it as a use, so this is unclear; ask the City of Penticton.
Site-specific exceptions listed in the bylaw by legal description can add or change uses for one property, and development permit areas, the ALR and building rules apply on top. Confirm with the City of Penticton's planning department before you buy or build.
