Alces River wildfire, 2025
The Alces River wildfire started on June 1, 2025, caused by lightning. It burned on through the winter and was declared out on March 31, 2026. Its mapped perimeter covers 4,207 ha: the 20th-largest of 2025's 39 large fires, and the 345th-largest in BC since 1990. All of it was in Peace River, Electoral Area B.
