Beef Trail Creek wildfire, 2025

The Beef Trail Creek wildfire started on August 27, 2025, caused by lightning. It was declared out on November 18, 2025. Its mapped perimeter covers 13,574 ha (136 km²): the 8th-largest of 2025's 39 large fires, and the 138th-largest in BC since 1990. All of it was in Cariboo, Electoral Area J. The nearest municipality, Fraser Lake, is roughly 170 km away; the fire covered about 25 times the land area of it.
