The White Rock Lake wildfire started on July 12, 2021, caused by lightning. It was declared out on November 21, 2021. Its mapped perimeter covers 83,047 ha (830 km²): the 3rd-largest of 2021's 59 large fires, and the 25th-largest in BC since 1990. 32% of it was in Thompson-Nicola, Electoral Area M (Beautiful Nicola Valley - North).
