Tenakihi - Mesilinka Complex wildfire, 2014

The Tenakihi - Mesilinka Complex wildfire started on July 2, 2014, caused by lightning. Its mapped perimeter covers 61,285 ha (613 km²): the 2nd-largest of 2014's 21 large fires, and the 34th-largest in BC since 1990. 85% of it was in Peace River, Electoral Area B. The nearest municipality, Granisle, is roughly 166 km away; the fire covered about 7.5 times the land area of it.
