Terrace Mountain wildfire, 2009

The Terrace Mountain wildfire started on July 15, 2009, caused by people. It was declared out on December 15, 2009. Its mapped perimeter covers 9,277 ha: the 4th-largest of 2009's 32 large fires, and the 196th-largest in BC since 1990. All of it was in Central Okanagan West. The nearest municipality, Lake Country, is roughly 13 km away; the fire covered about 57% of the land area of it.
