The zone is for light industry, technology industries among it, in the Official Community Plan's Industrial and Mixed Employment land uses (s. 7, I1 zone).

Any use that makes noise, vibration, smoke, dust, odour, heat, glare or electrical interference is kept inside a building, and nothing of it may be noticed 76 m from the building (s. 7, I1 zone).

Parking under Section 3 and landscaping, screening and fencing under Section 4 of the bylaw; development permits may be needed under the Official Community Plan (s. 7, I1 zone).

Short-term rental isn't a listed use, and uses the zone doesn't list aren't allowed (s. 1.4.7).

Cannabis sales and growing, pawnbroking, payday lending and some other uses are prohibited in every zone (s. 2.2).
