Parker Lake wildfire, 2024
The Parker Lake wildfire started on May 10, 2024, caused by people. It burned on through the winter and was declared out on March 31, 2025. Its mapped perimeter covers 12,348 ha (123 km²): the 11th-largest of 2024's 50 large fires, and the 151st-largest in BC since 1990. It reached Northern Rockies, burning 12,348 ha there, under 1% of the mountain resort municipality's land. The whole fire covered a small fraction of the land area of Northern Rockies.
