The Cold Fish Lake wildfire started on July 5, 2021, caused by lightning. It was declared out on November 24, 2021. Its mapped perimeter covers 7,494 ha: the 25th-largest of 2021's 59 large fires, and the 232nd-largest in BC since 1990. All of it was in Kitimat-Stikine, Electoral Area D. The nearest municipality, Stewart, is roughly 200 km away; the fire covered about 13% of the land area of it.
