Tent wildfire, 2021
The Tent wildfire started on June 30, 2021, caused by lightning. It was declared out on November 18, 2021. Its mapped perimeter covers 3,400 ha: the 40th-largest of 2021's 59 large fires, and the 390th-largest in BC since 1990. It reached Tumbler Ridge, burning 3,400 ha there, 2% of the district municipality's land. The whole fire covered a small fraction of the land area of Tumbler Ridge.
