The Cutoff Creek wildfire started on June 30, 2021, caused by lightning. It was declared out on November 22, 2021. Its mapped perimeter covers 33,073 ha (331 km²): the 7th-largest of 2021's 59 large fires, and the 62nd-largest in BC since 1990. 81% of it was in Bulkley-Nechako, Electoral Area D.
