Cross River wildfire, 2018

The Cross River wildfire started on August 1, 2018, caused by lightning. It was declared out on November 2, 2018. Its mapped perimeter covers 3,015 ha: the 43rd-largest of 2018's 84 large fires, and the 419th-largest in BC since 1990. All of it was in East Kootenay, Electoral Area F. The nearest municipality, Radium Hot Springs, is roughly 26 km away; the fire covered about 4.5 times the land area of it.
