Mount Bigfoot wildfire, 2015
The Mount Bigfoot wildfire started on June 25, 2015, caused by lightning. It was declared out on December 16, 2015. Its mapped perimeter covers 2,421 ha: the 23rd-largest of 2015's 38 large fires, and the 470th-largest in BC since 1990. It reached Northern Rockies, burning 2,421 ha there, under 1% of the mountain resort municipality's land. The whole fire covered a small fraction of the land area of Northern Rockies.
