Wadin Creek wildfire, 2015

The Wadin Creek wildfire started on May 26, 2015, caused by lightning. It was declared out on September 3, 2015. Its mapped perimeter covers 49,545 ha (495 km²): the largest of 2015's 38 large fires, and the 41st-largest in BC since 1990. It reached Northern Rockies, burning 77 ha there, under 1% of the mountain resort municipality's land. The whole fire covered a small fraction of the land area of Northern Rockies.
