Dunedin River wildfire, 2015

The Dunedin River wildfire started on May 25, 2015, caused by lightning. It was declared out on December 27, 2015. Its mapped perimeter covers 18,071 ha (181 km²): the 3rd-largest of 2015's 38 large fires, and the 111th-largest in BC since 1990. It reached Northern Rockies, burning 18,071 ha there, under 1% of the mountain resort municipality's land. The whole fire covered a small fraction of the land area of Northern Rockies.
