Good Hope Lake wildfire, 2012

The Good Hope Lake wildfire started on August 8, 2012, caused by lightning. It was declared out on October 31, 2012. Its mapped perimeter covers 3,754 ha: the 7th-largest of 2012's 18 large fires, and the 368th-largest in BC since 1990. All of it was in Stikine Region. The nearest municipality, Northern Rockies, is roughly 337 km away; the fire covered a small fraction of the land area of it.
