Gataga River wildfire, 2006

The Gataga River wildfire started on June 7, 2006, caused by lightning. It was declared out on September 20, 2006. Its mapped perimeter covers 6,397 ha: the 8th-largest of 2006's 23 large fires, and the 258th-largest in BC since 1990. All of it was in Stikine Region.
